I’ve had many other interests over the years, such as sewing, ceramics, painting, drawing, quilting, karate, calligraphy, site seeing, and even basket weaving to name a few. Nearly every one of them has ended up with photographs to document the completion of a project. Rick always says “if she’s taking pictures, she’s having a good time.” We’ve been married for nearly 34 years so he would know!

Before I started using digital cameras, I had a dark room set up at home where I developed and printed my own black and white film for a while. That was fun but when I started to learn how to edit my digital photos, it changed my focus… pun intended!
Rick has always happily taken me to different places to try out a new camera or lens. He said he was my pack mule. Then we went to shoot the Milky Way in Great Basin National Park and he was hooked. He bought the same camera that I had and a couple of lenses and we started a new adventure. Now I have to pack my own equipment… oh my!!

Since Rick has picked up his camera, his favorite shots are of the night sky and wildlife. He even wants to go into the desert at night and call in some coyotes so he can take pictures! Go figure!! 😊. That goes back to his younger days as a hunter in Idaho. Landscapes are filling in when those aren’t feasible.
